Introduction to Knitting: Cruise Control

This 4-week Introduction to Knitting course will teach you the basics of knitting through a Knit-a-long group project. Together students will cruise through a worsted weight unisex ribbed hat perfect for anyone. You will have a completed hat at the end of the course and the foundations needed to take your knitting to the next level.

Purchase before the start of class: 

• Cruise Control Pattern from Visuvios Crafts
• 1 skein (200 yards) of Malabrigo Rios worsted weight yarn
• 1 US 6 - 16" circular needle
  
• 1 US G crochet hook
• darning needle
• stitch markers 
• 1 set US 6 double pointed needles OR 1 US 6 fixed circular needle 32" or larger (wait until the third class to purchase)

Skills learned will be:

• Casting on
• Knit and Purl Stitches
• Knitting flat
• Knitting in the round
• Knitting with double pointed needles OR magic loop for working in small circumferences
• Binding off

Materials for the class must be bought at The Craftivist. Students will receive a 10% discount on the cost of supplies for the class.
