Two at a Time Sock Class
Have you every suffered from the dreaded "second sock syndrome" while knitting socks? Have you struggled to make two identical socks? The answer to these two sock-knitting challenges is knitting both socks simultaneously, on the same circular needle!
Instructor Jennifer Hallan will teach you how to knit a pair of socks "two at a time" from the toe up, using the Magic Loop method. Students should have knit at least one PAIR of socks before taking this class.
PURCHASE BEFORE THE START OF CLASS:
Pattern: Gift Socks by Alibíona McLochlainn
Materials needed:
Urth Yarns Uneek Sock Set OR 1 hank Sock Yarn (such as Malabrigo Ultra Sock or one of our Indie Dyed Sock Yarns, Emma's Practically Perfect Sock OR Ryan Yarn Twist Sock OR A Knitter's Homestead 80/20 Sock)
Note: Your yarn MUST be in two even balls or cakes before class. The instructor will provide instructions to split the skein. If you are concerned about your ability to split the yarn, please use the sock set for best results.
Circular Needles:
US 1.5 needles (or size needed to get gauge, 40" or 47" length). Note: we strongly recommend ChiaoGoo because of their flexibility.
Materials for the class must be bought at The Craftivist. Students will receive a 10% discount on the cost of supplies for the class.
