Correcting Errors 101

Led by Vincent Williams of Visuvio's Crafts, students will learn the tools, techniques, and mechanics of correcting errors, including reading your knitting, identifying common errors, tinking (unknitting), saving dropped stitches, frogging (ripping), inserting lifelines, reading fabric to find your place in a pattern, and when (or when not to) employ these techniques. Together students will work through the Can You See It? Square by Vincent Williams and walk away with the knowledge of how to correct common errors with ease and confidence!

Purchase before the start of class:

  • At least 105 yards of worsted weight yarn (wool yarn recommended)
  • US 8/5mm 24” circular needle
  • US 8/5mm double pointed needles
  • US H/5mm crochet hook
  • locking (or split ring) stitch markers
  • tapestry needle
  • stitch stoppers (optional)

Homework to complete before the start of class: Purchase the Can You See It? Square pattern from Visuvio's Crafts. Knit up to the starting checkpoint of the pattern titled “Pausing Point for Beginning Class.”

Supplies are available for purchase at the shop.
Students will receive a 10% discount on the cost of supplies for the class.
