Everyday Mitts: Knitting Two at a Time
Are you ready to knock out your small circumference knitting more efficiently? Jennifer Hallan will teach you how to knit a pair of fingerless mitts “two at a time” using the Magic Loop method. You will be able to use this method to make identical pairs of socks, mitts, sweater sleeves, and anything else knit over a small circumference. No more remembering exactly how many rounds you knit in the first item or putting off casting on the second item!
Prerequisite: Before taking this class, you should already be comfortable with the Magic Loop method.
PURCHASE BEFORE THE START OF CLASS:
PATTERN
- Everyday Mitts by Julie Weisenberger
YARN
- 1 skein of DK or Worsted Weight yarn (Add a second skein for very large fingerless mitts)
- We recommend a less-busy, light colored yarn to see your stitches more clearly.
CIRCULAR NEEDLES
- US Size 5 circular needles (or size needed to get gauge) in 40” or 47” length (ChiaoGoo needles recommended).
- US 2-3 needle (can be any type) for working bind-off
Materials for the class must be bought at The Craftivist. Students will receive a 10% discount on the cost of supplies for the class.
